Treatment Overview
Devices sold through the practice, such as hearing aids, assistive devices, alerting devices, and varieties of earmolds, will be only part of the individual treatment plan for patients with hearing disorders. Patients will also receive significant education about hearing disorders and counseling on issues related to hearing disorders for a more well-rounded approach to audiological care. It will not be uncommon for Dr. Yoder to spend 1.5 hours with a patient on their initial visits to the office. In addition to the personal and individual attention the patients will receive the practice will also offer a high standard of validation and verification measures to ensure patient satisfaction with devices and services. In order to do this the practice will employ Real Ear and Test Box measurements on devices to verify performance and proper function and Outcome Measures to validate the benefit of devices through patient feedback and function.

Patients can expect to have all aspects of their audiological needs evaluated and consequently recommendations may include devices not typically offered in other offices including FM/Infrared personal listening systems, assistive devices (for the phone, television, cell phone, audio devices, etc) alerting devices (for smoke detector, door bell, ringers, etc), custom and standard hearing protection (for musicians, hunters, dentists, heavy industrial workers, etc), custom molds (for swimming, sleeping, hyperacusis, etc), basic care products (such as disinfectant, lubricants, etc), and hearing aid care products (such as drying kits, cleaning tools, etc). Unique services can be determined on a case-by-case basis as well such as aural rehabilitation (classes on coping skills, sign language, lip reading, etc), and auditory exercises for processing disorders treatment (listening exercises, computer based programs).
